British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident
Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
Joshua had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.
“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.
Remembering the Victims
Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
This update on his health comes as the boxing community had expressed sympathy for the champion in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
