Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
